What do you stand for? "I pride myself and my company on integrity.
I manage my associations assets as if they were my assets. I don't view
my work simply as a job; it is my life and I am helping to manage the lives and properties
of my clients."
What can you provide that is different than others?
"An above the bar level of customer satisfaction. No matter how
small or large the problem is - every phone call deserves to be returned. Customer
service seems to be a thing of the past in most of our travels- I deliver the customer service level and expertise that I would want as a client."
What
have you learned? "I've learned to listen to the experts. When you are
a community manager you wear many hats. We as managers in the industry act in the capacity of roofer, plumber, HVAC specialist and psychiatrist, often in
the same day. I've learned to ask the hard questions and surround myself with
competent, knowledgeable contractors. I have spent many years absorbing their knowledge and
act as an intrepreter to my associations. The most valuable thing I've learned is when
to ask for help."
How do you care for your own
home? "Preventative, preventative, preventative maintenance.
I can't say it enough. A little tender loving care along the way saves hard
earned dollars in crisis management situations. I develop semi annual PM programs for my
roof, boiler, driveway and any other system on my home. "
